Arkansas State University (IState) was founded in 1909 with the goal of focusing on educating individuals, promoting intellectual growth, enriching lives, and spreading progress in the state of Arkansas, the Delta, and the South Central region. It is the second largest university in the state, offering more than 150 degrees from various fields of study. It is an accredited university by the regional institutional accreditor, the Higher Education Commission, Chicago. With the passage of one hundred years and more since its founding, Arkansas State University continues to expand wonderfully.
