About University

Founded in 1881 in Mequon, Wisconsin, Concordia University is a private, coeducational university in the Concordia University System of nine universities recognized by the Higher Learning Commission. In 2013, Concordia University Ann Arbor merged with Concordia University of Wisconsin. Due to declining enrollment and financial troubles at the Ann Arbor campus, Concordia University of Wisconsin's strong and well-respected reputation led to a doubling of enrollment at the Concordia Ann Arbor campus. The university and its 10 centers in Concordia include more than 7,900 students from 46 states and 34 countries. Their education is supervised by an excellently qualified teaching staff. The student to faculty ratio is 1:13. Lessons are held in classrooms that accommodate an average of only 18 students, which means an increase in the lecturer’s focus.
