Multimedia University Malaysia, or Multimedia University, was established in 1996. It consists of three campuses in the city of Cyberjaya, the city of Malacca, and a new campus that was opened in 2015 in the city of Johor. The university enjoys a prominent position at the local and international levels, as it is considered the first private educational university in Malaysia. It was also included in the list of the top 200 universities in the QS World University Rankings by subject in computer science and information systems for the year 2013. It is one of the first universities in the world that is distinguished by displaying educational materials via the Internet, and one of the first universities in the world to grant bachelor’s degrees in the fields of 3D animation and digital art.
