About University
The University of Lynchburg is a nationally recognized private university, founded in 1903, with more than 2,500 students and more than 20,000 alumni worldwide. The university is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, 180 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of central Virginia, and most students live on campus and in nearby university-owned homes. The university also has more than 40 clubs and organizations that students can participate in, in addition to a sports club and many recreational activities.
