About University

The history of the University of Southern Alabama began in the early sixties with the aim of improving access to higher education in southwest Alabama. The university was established in 1963, and over the past decades it has worked to develop its programs and facilities to accommodate the high number of students arriving to it, as the number of its students has reached 15,000 students coming from all states and 55 foreign countries around the world. The university provides high-quality education in many fields, and its campus includes a technology and research complex USA Technology & Research Park, which is an incubator for development.
